Community church loves summer camp!

Community Church wants to make summer camp accessible to everyone in our church. Why? Because summer camp gives kids & adults a fantastic experience, away from home, to grow in faith & relationship with Jesus, as well as with others around their age.

Wesley Woods, Camp Allegheny, & Jumonville are all Christian camps, supported by the United Methodist Church. To register your child for summer camp, visit the camp’s website for their online registration.

Vacation bible school Canceled

SUmmer 2018

As you may have noticed, our church is in the middle of a major expansion project. We're excited about the changes that are coming, but it means lots of construction equipment, mud, disruptions and constant changes to the facilities. After LOTS of prayer, consideration, conversations with church leadership and the construction team, we’ve decided that it’s in the best interest and safety of the kids and volunteers that we do not hold VBS during the summer of 2018.

We realize that this is a Big Deal in our community. Community Church VBS is a valued part of the summer for so many kids in our community. It was not an easy decision and we considered many alternatives, options, and room arrangements. We'll miss you this summer, but we believe that it’s the right decision. Don't worry!

VBS will be back in 2019 and it will be better than ever!

Please see Erin Kerstetter at ekerstetter@communityumchurch.com if you have any specific questions.

Community's Kids worship

At Community Church, we love kids! And we love connecting them to Christ in a very real way. It is our intention to care for them in the best way we can. They are welcome to join you for services, but they might enjoy what we have planned for them even more.

community's kids small groups

Small Groups / Wednesdays / 6:45 pm - 8:15pm

Wednesdays from 6:45-8:15pm for kids in kindergarten-5th grade. Having church friends is important for kids as they navigate their way through elementary school! At small groups, kids will strengthen those relationships while they grow in faith, through fun games & activities, and fun ways of merging scripture with their every day. This year’s focus will be on prayer. We will introduce kids to lots of different forms of prayer, and these young prayer warriors will learn that there’s no wrong way to talk to God!

Your preschoolers are invited to join us Wednesday nights 6:45-8:15pm for preschool small group. We will read and act out Bible stories, create crafts, and make music. Children will also be invited to sing their songs once a month in a worship service as a part of our new preschool choir, the Treble Makers. All potty-trained preschoolers are welcome!

CK's Experience

Community's Kids Experience

Sunday Mornings at 8:30 am and 10:30 am

Kids in preschool – 5th grade will experience Jesus in a whole new way on Sunday mornings!

CK’s Experience will bring together the very best of Sunday School with the best of Kids Worship, offering a “totally awesome, you won’t want to miss this” experience. All ages will join in worship time that will model many parts of adult worship from both the Traditional & Current styles.

Worship time will include praise music, prayer, and an intro to the sermon. Then they will break into smaller groups that are age appropriate for the core of the week’s message. In these groups, kids will experience lesson activities, scripture challenges, and life applications. This will also include many of the milestones that Community Church has valued over the years in our Sunday School program! We will come back together to wrap up and send out. The same CK’s Experience will take place at both the early service and the later service.
