WHY DO WE GIVE?
Giving is a spiritual act of worship. When we give, we recognize that God is the ultimate giver of everything we have. Giving demonstrates our trust that He will continue to provide for us and it allows us to be a part of His work here on earth.

Summer Financial Update
I wanted to offer a further update on where we are in matters of finance and the results of General Conference 2024. Thank you to all those who have responded positively with your prayers, your presence, and your offerings as we experienced a more solid July financially that gave us better footing for stepping into the rest of this year - as you can see below in the graphic.
With year-to-date spending levels only at 94% of anticipated, we will still need a nice push for the final third of 2024 to finish strong and prepare ourselves for next year's mortgage adjustments. So thank you ahead of time for your continued faithfulness.
As we seek to be faithful to who Community is called to be in 2024 and beyond, the Church Council is preparing a statement of distinctives for approval at our yearly Church Conference (please join us on October 6th, 6pm) that expresses Community Church's traditional theological stance concerning human sexuality while recognizing the desire to be welcoming to all persons - as all need to find their hope and life in Jesus. Please keep this intentionality to name what makes Community distinctive in mind if you have concerns about giving to a church within the mainline UMC. The reality is that well over 90% of your giving is at work right here through Community and our missions and is vital for our church's existence and ministry. We will continue to do ministry and mission where God has placed us. We will continue to be faithful to the distinctive 'DNA' God has built up in Community Church!
Blessings,
Pastor Seth
