Frequently Asked Questions

Curious about Community Church? Check out some questions others have asked--hopefully the answers will be helpful for you. If you have questions that aren't answered below, please don't hesitate to ask!

what time are the weekend worship services?

We offer three weekend services with plenty of opportunity to worship with each other! Consider attending more than one service style to experience all that Community Church has to offer.

Our Traditional service is held on Sunday at 8:30 am. Current, or contemporary services, are Saturdays at 6 pm and Sundays at 10:30 am.

what should I wear to church?

You’ll find some people wearing their Sunday best and some people wearing shorts or jeans—and often they are sitting in the same pew! The bottom line is we care about you, not your clothes. If you’re a sports fan, wear your black and gold, and you’ll fit right in.

What do the pastors like to be called?

Pastor Rich, Pastor Jerrad or Pastor Jim would be fine… although Rich, Jerrad or Jim is great, too.

What is available for my kids during worship?

Your kiddos will be well cared for while you worship at Community Church! They are welcome to join you for services, but they might enjoy what we have planned for them even more.

A full-staffed childcare room is located upstairs in the Patterson Family Room for children 8-36 months.

    Community Kids Worship

Kids get to experience Jesus on a level of worship that they can understand. They’re also introduced to many aspects of adult worship, where things are explained in age appropriate words. All ages start out together with a worship experience. We have songs & prayer time, and an introduction to the day’s message. Then kids break into small groups that are based on their age & grade (prek, K/1, 2/3, 4/5). They hear a Bible story, they do activities that support it, and have discussions about it as well. During this time we also introduce the age groups to some important aspects of our faith. These small groups are fun, encouraging, and meaningful. We come back together at the end for a final song. The Experience takes place during both adult services on Sunday mornings, 8:30 & 10:30.

    Busy Bee Bags

Busy Bee Bags are available to kids to use during services. Red bags are for older kids and blue bags are for younger kids. Please feel free to use these during services, however, Bee kind and return them along with all of the contents back to the provided Busy Bee Bag Tree.

As a visitor, what can i participate in?

Worship, meetings and small groups—come one, come all! The ministry and programs of the church are open to all regardless of membership or affiliation. Even when we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion, it is an open communion available to all who are in a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. Please feel welcome to participate and receive.
